✨🦋 𝙱𝚞𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚏𝚕𝚢 𝚆𝚒𝚜𝚍𝚘𝚖 🦋✨

Did you know that when a caterpillar enters its cocoon, it completely dissolves?

Not kind of. Not partly. Totally.

Inside that cozy shell, it becomes a gooey soup of cells. The old form breaks down entirely - no legs, no eyes, no crawling creature.

✨Just potential. Just possibility.

From that formless mess, special cells called imaginal cells (yes imaginal cells!!) begin whispering a new design:

✨Wings. Flight. Color. Freedom.

It’s gooey in there, not graceful.
It’s transformation in its truest form: chaotic, uncertain and totally necessary.

If like me, you’re feeling like your life is in the goo right now… things feel unclear, undone, or uncertain - you’re not alone. You, me and all those becoming butterflies out there this spring. 🌱🦋

Remember, this is not the beginning, nor is it the end… it’s the messy middle.

✨ Real change requires the mess.
✨ Growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone.
✨ This “messy middle” might just be our magic moment in disguise.

So hold my hand 🫱 while the old dissolves…

This one is part of a mural and message by one of my favourite artists, Hayley Walsh, who’s cute, monster-like subjects serve as a whimsical metaphor for how challenging it can be to navigate the adult world.
