We don’t always look so graceful when doing pilates… Especially when there’s a giant inflatable ball thrown into the equation 🙃

However, there are moments of grace - balance points perhaps - whether it be between the breath and the body, the mind and the movement the inner and outer environments or all the above and much more muchness.

When experiencing this, even just momentarily, the nervous system is immediately regulated, our inner self is soothed and we feel more connected, more whole.

These are some of the deeper benefits of practising pilates, yoga or any movement practised mindfully 😌

My kryptonite? 🧪
Apart from hating on Durian fruit I’d say it’s been a journey of managing my Energy & Sensitivity🫠

From consumption to expenditure this energy equation of life has been a tricky one for me to navigate.

If only balance didn’t have so many moving parts 🙃🤦🏻‍♀️😬

Overcoming digestive disorders in my teens and chronic fatigue in my early twenties, it has been the Mind-Body-Heart philosophy that has become my soundtrack to juggling a more balanced life. 🤹‍♂️

Now in my late thirties, I’m yet to overcome lower back flare ups since my teens and monthly hormonal hurdles. This is leading me down the path of educating myself on how to harness the cyclical nature of being a woman and has had a positive effect in equipping me with remarkable inner resources to see me through.

You know what they say:
“The only way out… is through!”

As I navigate my way through these small scale challenges, I hope to be able to help and inspire others who’s kryptonite is of a similar nature.

With all that said, today I find my flow in boutique wellness and soul fitness, which for over 10 years now has led to the creation of The Mind Body Heart Studio, as well as a gourmet certified organic superfood company, I Am Foods @iamfoods.

I continue to be inspired by the wisdom of our body, the magic of our minds, the forgiveness in our hearts and am continually aspiring to live a more cyclical life in harmony with Mother Nature🌱
